Sūtra translation
Fire is produced hence, (i.e., from Brahman only) ; for thus the text declares.
From such texts as, “ Fire was produced from Air,” (Tait II. i), (Fire) should not be considered to have been produced from (any) other than Brahman. * Hence,’ i.e., from the Most High, that (Fire) also is produced. Fot the text declares, “That (Brahman) created Fire (through Vayu).” (Ch. U). Though this topic, vis., that Brahman is the cause of Fire, has been generally treated of in the Sutra, ‘ As the cause, etc.,’ the same is again taken up here to remove the doubt that both Brahman and Vayu might separately be the causes of Fire; for scripture so speaks of other deities also, at least in a secondary sense.
