Sūtra
छन्दत उभयाविरोधात्
chandata ubhayāvirodhāt
Sūtra translation
On account of theabsenee of either (came), they perform holy acts at their choice.
At their choice they do or do not (perform holy acts), for they are neither bound to do, nor liable to any evil consequences by omitting to do.
