Brahman Shaping a Distinct Material
Definition
The Lord brings the world into being as its operative cause by entering and shaping a material principle that is real and distinct from Himself. The material, called Prakriti, undergoes the change while the Lord undergoes none, and it exists and acts only in dependence on Him.
