Sūtra translation
The person (enjoying bliss) within (the eye) is (Brahman) only, on account of the agreement of (the several) characteristic attributes.
He who is in the eye is only Vishnu. From the texts such as, “ The three immortal feet of His are in heaven,’ (Rv. x. 90.3), immortality, etc. (and other charac- teristics) only point to Him,” ; and also on account of the propriety of the use of the words Brahman, etc.> (Vishnu is the dweller within the eye, etc). * He is I ’ and other texts have proceeded with refer ■ euce to the Lord as the inner guide. It is said in the Mahakaurtna, “ It is with reference to the Lord of lords that directs frofn within, that the words, * I,’ ‘ He,’ ‘ Thou/ are used. In fine, all the words are used (to denote the Lord within), though the things themselves may differ.
