ज्योतिषैकेषामसत्यन्ने
jyotiṣaikeṣāmasatyanne
Sūtra translation
In the case of the text of some (the Kansas) where food is not mentioned, the number five is completed by (taking) the light (mentioned in the preceding Mantra).
In the text of the Kanvas, the group of five is made up by taking * the light ’ which is mentioned in the pre- ceding Mantra, “ Him the gods worship as the light of lights.” (Bri. VI. iv. 16). (In the following), the Sutrakara explains that it is only He (the Lord that is declared (also) as the mediate cause (by terms denoting mediate causes).
