In the third pada it has been shown that a conflict of Vedic passages as to ether, &c., does not exist. The same is

After having taught that Ether and all the other elements are effects, and hence have originated, the Sûtras had shown that the individual soul,

Thus (for the same reasons) all the Breaths (L e% the organs of sense) (are things originated).
Just as ether, etc., are produced from the Supreme Lord, so also are the Breaths (senses) for the reasons (given in the previous pada)
