From Rāmānuja’s commentary
The non-difference of the world from Brahman, the highest cause, follows from 'what begins with the word ârambhana'—which proves such non-difference
Definition
The effect pre-exists, non-different, in its material cause, and is not an absolutely new production. Both Sankara and Ramanuja affirm this position, jointly defending it against the Nyaya-Vaisesika (Kanada) doctrine that the effect is a genuinely new entity distinct from its cause.
